Elisabeth Hasselbeck implies Michelle Obama is "dirty"
Maybe I am reading too much into it, but at a recent luncheon for Cindy McCain that was televised on CSPAN, THE VIEW co host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is threading on that racist line! I thought candidates family were off limits? I also think she should be reprimanded by ABC Television for talking about behind the scenes procedure. I have the YouTube video and transcript -- The line about Cindy McCain being "fresh as can be" implies Michelle is dirty and later says she is hiding something!! Elisabeth needs to publicly apologize to Michelle Obama!
"Cindy came into our hair and make-up room as fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate-who shall remain nameless. She didn't come with a list of topics we weren't allowed to touch. Nope, that's because she has nothing to hide" - Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Write to ABC TV and complain!!

Elizabeth Hasselback creates conflict with so many people on The View that I am now unable to watch the show. I love the other host but I do not like the anger I feel after watching Elizabeth attack someone for having a different point of view than hers. She should learn from the other hosts how to make a point without being judgemental. Isn't there another "right winger" who can replace her on The View with better communication skills? Until then, I will check daily to see if she comes out the door and if se does, I will change the channel.

Elisabeth has the right to say what I call the truth! Good for her for standing up for what she believes in. And I love what she said, I do agree Michelle has something to hide.

I would think that there is some type of confidentiality clause concerning guest on the view. I feel Elizabeth stepped over the line. This far exceeds free speech. What if Tim came back stage and yelled at Elizabeth accusing her of cheating. Then she ask her co-stars to keep quiet, but Joy and Whoopie being the comedians they are, decide to put it in their stand up routine. Would that be fair? I'm sure they would be within there free speech rights. Would it be worth it? I think the very words Elizabeth uses against others with no wisdom or discernment, will be the very words that will condemn her in the end.

Wasn't she a Survivor " Reject". If she felt so strongly, why did she not confront Ms Obama with her concerns in person?Instead she basically kissed her buttock on the View. WHy did Ms. Hassleback decide to speak her mind at the RNC convention? This is a person you can not trust.

Who really cares what was said in the dressing room. It is amazing to see such educated, intelligent people acting like high school students in a popularity contest. Why isn't anybody concerned about who is going to do what to fix this country? You try to read and stay up on politics when all you read and hear about is high school bathroom gossip. People that are in the media are held to a higher standard and they can unit us all, yet comments such as this are just down right juvenile. Neither of these women, Cindy or Michelle deserve to have their personal lives ran through the mud. If Michelle had something to hide, face it, the Republicans or any journalist would have found it by now. She didn't just step into the lime light. If she got involved with a married man, stole drugs from a charity or any of those things, it would be front and center. As for Cindy, she has come through her addiction, and tried to make amends for any mistakes she's made, so how do any of those things matter. If Michelle doesn't want to answer certain questions then so be it. Why blast her? Why bring up Cindy's problems of the past. None of which on either side will affect John McCain or Barack Obama's ability to run this country and deal with the REAL ISSUES. Grow up Hasselback. Bring something positive to the table. She had the opportunity to motivate a crowd and leave them with something positive and yet she chose to go back to high school and try to hang with the popular girls. Sad, so very, very sad.

I'm not one to fluff feathers, but Elisabeth is perfectly within her constitutional right to say as she pleases, just as anyone is! She wasn't at work on 'The View' when she spoke any of this, so why should they fire her? She's at a REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION...OF COURSE she's going to blast & speak ill if the opposition!!!! Seriously people! If you were in her position and felt strongly about something as she feels for the GOP, then you too would speak passionately. I can't tell you how many times I've been to a pub and watched men get into actual fist-fights over a football match. Same senario, different causes. I understand this is for the President of our great country, but you're kicking a dead horse. Find something else to whinge & moan about.

If she is going to blab what happens off camera--The view will not get any guests.
If that's the treatment.
I would think they have grounds to fire her.
She is such a mindless, twit

Shame on Elisabeth Hasselbeck and shame on the view for keeping her on the air.

I hope The View takes all of Elizabeth's comments into consideration, and "oust" her! She is the ditsy blonde haired what-ever colored eyes bag of controversial wind bag that I really hate listening to on the View.
Liz, you sit on The View one day and got emotional about the N-word, excuse me the N-word is not used for Blacks, its used for people like YOU, who try and hide behind who they really are but, television has a way of bringing out a persons TRUE colors, eventually! Thanks Liz on UTUBE for exposing yourself!! Get rid of the DITSY-BLONDE

Yes she has a list of things that are off limits, just as the Palin family has things that are off limits...why teach abstinence on the job as governor and not apply the principle at home? Cindy McCain hides her millions of dollars to the point that she files a separate tax return with her "faithful" patriotic husband. Why did Cindy sleep with a war hero while he was still married to a model who had gotten into an accident and gained "too much weight"? So much for Elizabeth's equality amongst women of color.
